2:  Verses about Eternal Life


Below are just a few verses about Salvation and Eternal Life quoted from the New International Version* with the words of Jesus in red:


For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.  John 3:16-18.

Salvation is found in no one else for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.  Acts 4:12

I tell you the truth ... they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.  Matthew 25:45a,46

For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.  He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.   1 Thessalonians 5:9,10

Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst.  Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.  John 4:13,14

But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.  For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.   Romans 6:22,23

In my Father's house are many rooms ... I am going there to prepare a place for you ... You know the way ... I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.  John 14:2,4,6
